Our first round pick in my opinion should be spent on Eli Manning.

He is a sure fire franchise QB, if Brian and Marty Schottenheimer mess him up he always has Archie and Peyton. Some people say that we have to many holes and should trade down but this is no the case. We have 10 draft picks, 9 with Manning in the first round. With those 10 we can fill our holes. If we can't a QB is still the most important position on the team. Look at this..

Eagles- McNabb (lack of WR that lost them the game)
Patriots- Brady (Were was Brady in your article)
Rams- Bulger (stupid mistakes under pressure that lost them the game)
Ravens- Boller (a rookie QB got them far and then the backup QB lost it for them)
Panthers- (wow a good QB too)
Packers- (Farve got them far into the playoffs)
Seahawks- (pro-bowl QB)
Chiefs- (Green a pro bowl QB)
Broncos- (awesome QB)
Colts- (pro bowl QB)
Titans- (pro bowl QB)

All of those teams except for the Cowboys who have Quincy Carter have a great QB. Look at these teams with a bad QB...

and they all had losing season's. So a QB is very important to our teams success. If you don't like those reasons then how about this one. This year is Marty and A.J's make or break year so they need to show the owner (Alex and Dean Spanos) that they are making steps towards a good future. Also this whole thing with the chargers suing the city and wanting a new city they have to convince the fans they are trying hard to make the team good. The fans want Eli Manning. It is very unlikely that we will trade down. Even though Marty and A.J want to there price needs to be high and is set high for our first round pick. If no one pays the price we got Eli, if someone does then we got Roethlisberger or Rivers.
