Here is my break down...

The Quarter backs are very even in this one. Tim Rattay did great last year but that was with Owens. Brees will look to rebound this game and win the starting job.

Tomlinson is the best running back in the league, and should play this game more.

Wide Receivers is not the 49ers best position, Lloyd does look good, but the Chargers have more talent and depth.

Tight ends I gave to the Chargers, Gates should get more playing time as the season comes closer.

Offensive Tackles and Guards both the Chargers. We have a lot more depth then the 49ers and right now our offensive line is doing good.

Center I gave to the 49ers, they have Jeremy Newberry who I think is better then Ball or Hardwick.

 I gave the DT advantage to the Chargers and 49ers, Bryant Young is a veteran to the DT position. We have the depth and up coming talent.

The 49ers have an advantage in the DE slot with Andre Carter and John Engelberger. Engelberger's stock is rising.

I give the linebackers to the Chargers. The 49er's do have Julian Peterson, but that's about all they have.

Cornerbacks I gave the advantage to the Chargers the 49ers were hurting last year, and they still have holes this year

Safeties I gave the advantage to the 49ers, we don't have enough talent at safety, to match against Tony Parrish.

Kicker is our Advantage, Nate Kaeding is our new kicker with Hoambrecker released.

Punter advantage is the Chargers, Mike Scifries won the starting job and will play all of this game.

This could be an easy win, and we should see the QB battle come to a close.

Need to work on -- Pass defense

Wrap up -- The Defense looked OK in this game, they only gave up 15 points but they did give up way to many passing yards and did not produce enough turnovers. The big story of this game was which QB will do the best. Brees showed us that he will be the starter, going 5/5 for 71 and 1 TD. Our running game really looked good this game, Turner could be the back up for LT. Special Teams hurt this game, no big returns and some fumbles by the return man. This game was a easy win, Brees will be named the starter after his great performance. There were a lot of fumbles, and our offensive line gave up only 2 sacks.
